Discrimination- The denial of normal privileges or rights to one or more individuals based on an individual's race, color, ancestry, ethnicity, gender (sex), age, religion, national origin, level of education, political affiliation, physical appearance or disability, marital status, or sexual orientation.
Diversion- The act of diverting, selling, or moving products, goods, or services through unauthorized places or channels in order to fraudulently receive discounts or revenue. This includes any use or sale of a product, pharmaceutical product, or other copyrighted or protected property that violates limitations imposed by law or as a condition of the seller receiving a discounted or contract price from a manufacturer or group purchasing organization.
Financial Misconduct- Any concern that is financially related to a student, an employee, a staff member or the Organization as a whole.
Mistreatment- The act of being treated differently than prescribed by company policy, by law or by the ethical norms of society. Mistreatment may include physical, verbal, or psychological abuse, injuring, persecution, or may involve subtle behavior such as neglect, isolation, wrongful discipline, termination, or discrimination.
Safe Driving Concerns- Unsafe driving of company leased or owned vehicles.
Safety Concerns- Any workplace condition that potentially compromises the health, safety, and well-being of employees, customers, vendors, or visitors of the organization. Such conditions may include: poor lighting or signage; unstable stacking or storage of materials, product, or equipment; exposure to hazardous materials or contaminants; exposure to excessive noise; lack of protection against weather elements; walkways, floors, or stairways in disrepair; or unnecessary exposure to dangerous machinery. In some cases, such workplace conditions are unlawful.
Section 8 Fraud- Failure to report or under-reporting the income or assets of all household members; using false identity, documents, or Social Security Numbers; giving an incorrect number of family members residing in the household; obtaining duplicate assistance or subletting all or part of the unit; renting from a family member; or participating in drug activity or violent criminal activity while living in the residence.
Sexual Harassment- Unwanted and offensive sexual advances or sexually offensive remarks or acts, especially made by one in a superior or supervisory position or when acquiescence to such behavior is a condition of continued employment, promotion, or satisfactory evaluation. Examples may include unwanted conversation, obscene gestures, comments, jokes, touching of a sexual or lewd nature, staring/leering or whistling.
Substance Abuse- The illegal or inappropriate use of drugs or alcohol, whether purchased legally (prescription) or illegally (street drugs). Substance abuse is also the misuse of any substance, whether controlled by Federal law or not, such that when put into one's body it is contrary to the substance's intended use. Examples may involve the use of alcohol, marijuana, narcotics, amphetamines, depressants, stimulants, aerosol sprays (inhalants), hallucinogens, or prescription drugs.
Theft- The illegal taking of property belonging to someone else without consent. The intent is to permanently deprive the owner of property and then use this property as one's own.
